Rated 5 out of 5 by User1 from Not bad. Powerful I have a bigger 2100w version of bagless philips so decided to buy same type but smaller one for downstairs Just as powerful tho 1800w. Less noisy. Only problem is that design wise the carry handle is bad. It is thr same handle for the dust bucket. Can you imagine you keep using the dust bucket handle to lift up the machine, one day the dust bucket will just come off. There's no handle on the top of the machine compared to the biggr one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DT101719 from Philips PowerPro Compact Bagless vacuum cleaner I like this vacuum as it has much better filter compared to my previous Philips Compact Small Star vacuum. You can sense the cleaner air when using. However the size of the vacuum is a bit bulky to house with furnitures around. It easily get knocks here and there. Should have design the size smaller. Also the nozzle has rollers but I feel that without it is much better as it touches the floor closely. The nozzle shape should be flat rather than curved so that it can touch against the side of the wall to vacuum edges.

I have also used it to vacuum the mattress for dust mites removal. I wish it had a handle to carry the equipment when in use. I also use another softer brush attachment for my dusting as I find the blue brush too stiff and the power cable could be abit longer. I do however like how convenient it is to clear the dust canister and that replacement filters are not too overly expensive. This replaces my old Karcher Water Vacuum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CoolBloo from A cleaning beast! This Philips vacuum cleaner with its PowerCyclone 5 is one such cleaning beast. It gets my vacuum cleaning done thoroughly better than other vacuum cleaners that I’ve used before and at a reasonable price. What I like: 1. Very strong suction power - able to do the job efficiently. 2. Quality looks tough and built to last. 3. Necessary tools for entire cleaning - MultiClean nozzle, TurboBrush, Crevice tool and Integrated dusting brush tool. 4. Prefer corded over cordless as I can vacuum continuously without having to recharge between vacuuming. Long cord that I don’t need to connect to an extension cable to reach places that are far from the power outlet and cord can be coiled inside the body. 5. Bagless saves money and the hassle of changing the bag when full. Emptying the dust container is also easy with just one click of a button to remove the container. 6. Telescopic tube adjustable to your preference length or height. I like it’s metal rather than plastic. 7. The Integrated dusting brush with a long hose that I can easily reached hard-to-reach places especially when vacuuming high shelf surfaces. It’s lighter and easier to manoeuvre the Integrated brush better than using a handheld vacuum cleaner which could be cumbersome. Cleaning dust from display pieces/ornaments is easier with the Integrated dusting brush tool - suction power can be adjusted to prevent over suction on delicate pieces. What I don’t like: 1. Noisy due to the high suction power - even my cats are frightened. 2. It’s compact but size is still big for storage in my space-lacking house. 3 of the tools are attached to the machine except for 1 - either the MultiClean or the TurboBrush nozzle that is unattached when storing - can be misplaced. 3. TurboBrush could be made narrower for vacuuming cushion covers and curtains as it can picks up furs better than the Integrated brush can do. Conclusion With 7 pros over 3 cons definitely I will recommend this vacuum cleaner. This vacuum cleaner is a well-thought design but can be improved in future models. Perhaps the MultiClean and the TurboBrush can be made into one and a separate smaller/narrower TurboBrush for cleaning cushion covers and curtains and as it is smaller it can be attached to the machine for storage. At the end of the day I just need a cleaning machine that can do its job effectively, simple to operate and at a reasonable price.

The sliding nozzle with brush - keeps slipping down as the holding mechanism is not designed properly to keep it in place. The rear exhaust air is hot and heats up the cable too much - not sure if the cable will start to melt in the long run. The weight could have been lighter and noise level could have been below 40db. Overall it's a good machine and the Citibank promo was great.

It kind of touches the plastic inside the brush. The handle is a bit big for people with small hand. This make it difficult to hold. The nozzle is curved shape. I preferred the flat type which I can vacuum the corner edge.

The downside is a bit noisy maybe due to high performance of 1800 W motor. A bit heavy and some time quite hard to manoeuvre. Overall, it is an excellent performer that’s well built and simple to use.

A week ago, while using, it started acting up strangely - the red light was lit but it was purring weakly. Today the light did not light up and there’s nothing detected. Quite disappointed with its longevity since Philips is an established brand my family trusts and this model isn’t cheap.

It is easy to assemble and operate with different function. It has a modern and compact design which look cool and easy to move around. One of the unique feature is the intergrate brush on the hose. It save one step to install the brush on the hose on older design. The long retractorable wire allows me to clean a bigger area before I move on to the next area. The powerful suction is able to suck a lot of dust from the beds. Cleaning is easy with just a few rinse and the dirt and dust are wash away. The only negative part is that it is too noisy. When it is fitted with nozzle and vacumming the corner, it produce a high pitch noise that my kids ran and hide. Overall, a good product with powerful suction.

I have a dog with short hair with one stick to carpet , any other vacuums couldn't clean it , this one do very good job ;) as well have all this extra tools and easy click remove. Easy to empty the box.It's little bit loud , but this is only small minus. I recommend this product.

The suction is strong and it’s bagless. It can also vacuum underneath the lower cabinet unlike most of the vacuums outside that cannot vacuum underneath. Lastly, cleaning is very easy, all you need to do is to take out the trash container and dump away the vacuumed dust and dirts.

The down size is the noise is pretty loud for a small vacuum. My former vacuum with the same features were much quieter. Lastly the retracting wires are not so well made as I send my new vacuum with the retracting wire, after repaired, it is still giving me the same problem.

When handling the vacuum pipes, the integrated brush tends to get in the way So the brush bristles end up looking used when I have not used it at all. There is a need to make the lock on the integrated brush more effective because right now it gets unlocked too easily.

I like the high power suction, adjustable retractable handles, additional features were meticulously design, changing of air suction level to suit hardfloor, carpet, and sofa. The high noise is not an issue for me.

I unboxed it on 2 Sep and started to use it since then. The out-of-box experience was seamless and putting the parts together was really easy. The "click" technology has made assembling the parts so easy and convenient. the body of the vacuum is smaller than the one I was using. Two observations though, 1 There is only one power suction. I cannot lower the power for ligh vacuum, also for increasing the suction power for a good deep vacuum. 2 The brush head which is connected to the rod makes it more convenient instead of having to detach/attach it. However, I don't seems to be able to have it secured tightly to the rod. In case of deep vacuum, the brush head got moved backward. Nonetheless, the overall experience from unboxed to using it has been excellent. Thank you!

I as an industrial designer is able to design the box to be more compact and much smaller than the current one. When I was using the vacuum cleaner, the power of the suction amazed me as I was just very speculative of the power of the vacuum cleaner. When I was using it, I got shocked that the power cable is that short where normally when I was using my old vacuum cleaner, I only required to change the socket once to get the entire house cleaned. However, when I used it, I got to change it twice as the cable is really short. The accessories also sometimes will drop off the storage compartment on the vacuum cleaner. The different modes of the floor is for different modes however I didn't see any difference in the suction power after changing the mode maybe due to the hair bristles gathering the dust and sucking it into the vacuum cleaner. I tried to get the dust out of the container, without any tools, I used my hands to get the out of the container and would be great that there's a sweeper or the dust would just drop out using gravity's force without much effort to do it by the user.

He had so much fun unpacking, and the ingenious design of the shaft, to be extensible and to co-locate the few tips along the shaft, is wonderful. My Son was playing around with it, like a make-believe gun, cocking it's "Magazine"! The whole set-up was easy, proven by the picture. A 14 year old could set up all by himself, and tried working the machine. The 3rd picture shows the amount of dirt and fur sucked up from just 1 piece of carpet. The carpet did not appear dirty at all, but so much fur got sucked in. Clearly, the suction is really good. Some minus - the machine is heavy - the small sharp extension tip, when placed in the holder on the shaft, has a loose fit. The fit is not tight enough. Tip drops off easily. I will still choose the Philips single detachable, chargable vacuum, without the wires and the heavy machine.
