Sometime around 1 year back, i started having intermittent internet problems, like 'connected to wifi without internet'. When i switched to a 10GB service, i was advised to switch out my router because it seems the components will wear out after 3 to 4 years. The Asus is a solid piece of equipment, possibly overkill for my home use. It was easy to get it set up and wifi penetration was fantastic. I also appreciate the app which provides tons of configurability and is easy to set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AhBenz from Pinnacle of Wi-Fi 7 for pro-sumers I have a 10Gbps internet subscription and utilizing this GT-BE98 router is game-changing. I upgraded from a GT-AX11000 and it seems like the ASUS Rangeboost Plus does push the wireless coverage even further that I do not require another mesh/router to extend the overall range. Quad band Wi-Fi is nice as I can dedicate a band just for games or streaming. Overall built quality seems to have improved, especially the built-in antennas. The new RGB LEDs is also a fresh and nice change with new effects.

Don't worry the router can do support lower end with wifi 2.4 and 5ghz. LAN connection is also blazing fast on desktop, u can also get a asus network card 10gbps together with router to achieve maximum speed of it of gaming. This router can last me a couple of years to go. Thank ROG of this wonderful router , nice and powerful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ctang from GT-BE98 Review The GT-BE98 is cosy but it is one of best of it kind in the market. Easy to confiure and and comes security fire well protection and parental control. Able to accept dual WAN line for load balancing and redundancy. Wifi 7 is not very stable, it gets disconnected sometimes. Hope the future firmware update will help. I've 10G WAN connection. but only able to get 2-4Gbps upload or download speed.

Why Asus? the design only looks nice. I do hope at least the hardware is reliable and lasts. Else all is lost for the Asus brand name. Thanks.
