The extended warranty came in handy for me a couple years back when my tv suddenly stopped working just when the regular warranty was supposed to be up. Only problem is when they replace the tv they wouldn’t have the same model as the one you bought, instead they gave me a newer model!

For the extended warranty go for it. I always get it. The irritation of having to fix an appliance out of pocket a year or two isn’t worth it. I bought a washer the other day - spent like 150 extra for an additional 2 years on top of 1 year. Just for peace of mind.
