Terms and Conditions

The COURTS Integrated Trade-In Program is a collaboration between COURTS and Rebonics Pte Ltd (a Carousell Group company) (“Rebonics”). Under the COURTS Integrated Trade-In Program, Rebonics provides a service through which COURTS’s customers (“Buyers”) may trade-in eligible used electronic devices (“Used Devices”) to purchase eligible new products on COURTS (“New Items”) at a discounted price, based on the estimated value of the Used Device (“Trade-In Discount”). By trading-in a Used Device when purchasing a New Item through the COURTS Integrated Trade-In Program (“Trade-In Transaction”) you are deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions described herein.

These Terms and Conditions supplement Rebonics’ terms and conditions (accessible here) (“Rebonics Terms”), the COURTS Terms of Service, and the other COURTS Policies of which these Terms and Conditions forms a part – please read the Rebonics Terms, the Terms of Service, and the other COURTS Policies available on the Site as they contain important information regarding your rights and obligations. Any terms that are used in these Terms and Conditions that are not defined here will have the meanings given to such terms in the Rebonics Terms, the Terms of Service and/or the applicable COURTS Policy. All terms and conditions described in these Terms and Conditions are subject to change at COURTS’s discretion pursuant to the Terms of Service.

By making a Trade-In Transaction, you understand and agree that:

This trade-in service is offered and provided by Rebonics;

• Rebonics is the party purchasing your Used Device as part of the Trade-In Transaction, while COURTS is responsible for the issuance of the Trade-In Discount and facilitating your purchase of the New Item on its platform;
• The Trade-In Discount is an estimated pricing for your Used Device based on the quality and condition of the Used Device as submitted by you, and may be subject to change upon inspection by Rebonics.
• The trade-in eligibility and trade-in value are subject to Rebonics’ inspection. Upon inspection, the final trade-in value of your Used Device may be lower than the Trade-In Discount if inspection results differ from the condition and quality of your Used Device as described. If the quoted trade-in value changes, you will be notified and may accept or decline the revised price. If you accept the revised price, you will be required to top-up the difference (i.e. the amount difference between the final trade-in value and the Trade-In Discount). If you decline the revised price, the Trade-In Transaction will be cancelled;
• You are not a commercial reseller and you either own the Used Device or have been authorized by such owner to trade in the Used Device on their behalf;
• COURTS or Rebonics may refuse, cancel, or limit the quantity of any Trade-In Transaction for any reason;
• There are no leases, contractual commitments, or other third-party interests attached to your Used Device;
• At completion of the Trade-In Transaction, ownership of your Used Item transfers to Rebonics, and you assign to COURTS the right to collect from Rebonics the value of the Trade-In Discount corresponding to your Used Device;
• You are responsible for backing up and/or deleting data on your Used Device via factory reset, prior to handing over your Used Device upon completion of the Trade-In Transaction. Neither Rebonics nor COURTS will be liable for any loss of your data;
• You acknowledge and agree that all Trade-In Transactions are final and cannot be cancelled or amended by you unless the quoted value for the Used Device upon completion of inspection has been revised and declined by you;
• A Trade-In Transaction will be cancelled if no trade-in is completed;
• In the event a Trade-In Transaction is successfully cancelled after the Used Device has been collected by Rebonics, Buyer will receive from COURTS a refunded amount equivalent to the actual amount paid for the New Item and the value of the Trade-In Discount. Under no circumstances will the Used Device be returned to the Buyer;
• Any overtrade promotions disbursed by COURTS or Rebonics is subject to promotion redemption limits. COURTS, Rebonics and any third party partner reserves the right to amend or end the promotion with no prior notice.
• Any overtrade bonus or discount related to trade-in will not be reimbursed if an order is cancelled;
• An overtrade bonus is only applied if the Used Device has a positive value;
• If the value of the Used Device is greater than the value of the New Item, the excess amount will be forfeited;
• You must be contactable via Whatsapp. If there is no response after two attempts, Rebonics will attempt to contact you via SMS. If there is still no response, COURTS will proceed to cancel the TradeIn Transaction;
• You must schedule the first trade-in delivery attempt within 14 business days from first contact by Rebonics, unless indicated otherwise by COURTS & Rebonics;
  Used Devices will be rejected if they do not meet Rebonics’ required conditions. upon which the Trade-In Transaction will be cancelled.
• You must comply with the Secondhand Goods Dealers Act by providing proof of identification (Singpass, NRIC, or Employment Pass) during the trade-in. Any non-compliance will result in the cancellation of your Trade-In Transaction.
