SINGAPORE – 7 December 2024 – COURTS (Singapore) Pte Ltd (“COURTS Singapore”), a leading electrical, IT, and furniture retailer in the region and a wholly owned subsidiary of Nojima Corporation, celebrates its Golden Jubilee. To commemorate this momentous occasion, COURTS unveils the newly revamped COURTS Megastore@Tampines and launches a community initiative to benefit low-income families residing within East Coast and Tampines GRCs.
The grand reopening celebration is officiated by Harry Higashiura, CEO, COURTS Singapore, Mr Tan Kiat How, Adviser to East Coast GRC GROs, and Dr Charlene Chen, Second Adviser to Tampines GRC GROs with 50 lion dancers.
Community Engagement
In collaboration with East Coast GRC and Tampines GRC grassroots organisations, COURTS Singapore is contributing $30,000 in vouchers to 600 underprivileged families. The donation will help needy families with essential electrical items. Beneficiaries have the flexibility to use the vouchers at any of COURTS’ 13 stores island wide.

Exciting New Era of Retail at COURTS Megastore
A pioneer of the “Big Box” retail concept in 2006, COURTS’ revamped Megastore offers customers a sensory retail experience that engages all five senses. The sight of well-organised product presentations, built-in counters and welcoming store layouts is complemented by sound, with ambient music creating an immersive environment. In the newly introduced Cooking Studio on Level 1, customers can enjoy the smell and taste of fresh dishes during live demos while trying out appliances. Additionally, customers can also touch and test cutting-edge robotic and handstick cleaning technologies across different floor types through live demonstrations to identify the best cleaning tool for their homes. These elements transform the Megastore into a dynamic space for exploration, creativity, and innovation in home living.
The Megastore also features a 20% increase in home appliance offerings, including new brands and built-in counters designed to showcase large household appliances such as kitchen stoves, washing machines, refrigerators, dryers, water heaters, dishwashers, and air conditioners. Always seeking to bring value to customers and the community, COURTS provides home cleaning services including full disinfection, air-con cleaning, and sofa cleaning services.
Higashiura added, “Having pioneered the “Big-Box” retail concept in Singapore, the revamped Megastore is set to elevate customer experience in Singapore. We envision the Megastore as a dynamic centre of inspiration and creativity for home living, where customers can explore and engage with our wide and expanded product offerings all under one roof.”
An expanded Personal Care area dedicated to health, beauty, wellness, and maternity care has also been introduced. Customers can explore the latest health innovations and discover personalized devices designed to enhance their daily lives and well-being.
New Technology Experiences at COURTS Megastore Tampines
As part of its grand re-opening, COURTS Singapore introduces two exclusive experiential areas on Level 3 that bring the latest in-home entertainment technology to life:
- LG Experience Room – The first of its kind in Singapore, this immersive space allows customers to experience LG's cutting-edge home audio and visual technologies.
- Samsung 114” Class MICRO LED – A first-in-Singapore launch, this area showcases Samsung’s revolutionary MICRO LED display technology, offering a stunning visual and audio experience.
