Hear From Our Leader
“Powering Careers for Limitless Growth”

Matthew Hoang In my 30s, many would say I am young to be a CEO. I started my retail career as a salesperson working for Nojima Group in Japan. Some years in, I was tasked to set up our local operations in Vietnam and Cambodia. With sheer hard work and perseverance from the team, within a year, we turned around the business and achieved profitability.

When Nojima Group acquired COURTS Asia in 2019, I was given the opportunity to be appointed Group COO of COURTS Asia and Country CEO of COURTS Singapore. Today, I spend my time in the industry I feel passionate about, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our business – from store management to various core functions of the business.

Nojima and COURTS provide a company environment that gives the young and ambitious the chance to take ownership of their careers. The road has not been an easy one, but without the challenges and difficulties faced along the way, I would certainly not be where I am today. Openness, fairness, creativity and innovation. These are some of the qualities that we nurture and reward in our employees. They are also the qualities you need to excel in life.

If you feel you have what it takes to thrive in the fast-paced world of retail, I welcome you to take ownership of your career path and development. Possibilities are endless when teams are empowered to drive success.
