Courts (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“Courts” or “we”) respects and protects the privacy of the users, visitors and people who purchase products on Courts Online (whether from Courts or from a third party Seller) (“you”). Courts knows that you care how personal information about you is used and shared.

This Privacy Policy sets out what personal information we collect and how we use it. References in this Policy to Courts Online includes any website owned and operated by or on behalf of Courts, including the Courts Online Marketplace.

A WORD ABOUT CHILDREN

Courts (and the third party Sellers) do not sell products for purchase by children. We (and third party Sellers) sell children's products for purchase by adults. If you are under 18, you may use Courts Online only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

What personal information does Courts collect?

We may collect the following categories of personal information about you:

1.1 Personal information that you provide to us on Courts Online. This includes any information you provide on Courts Online (for example when you register as a user or purchase a product on Courts Online (whether from Courts or from a third party Seller). This personal information will include your name, your address, your contact information and your payment information (and other kinds of personal information). Sometimes when you provide personal information on Courts Online, you can choose not to provide certain personal information but this might limit our ability to provide certain features to you. You will be informed what information is required and what information is optional.
1.2 Personal information automatically provided to us. We receive and store certain types of information whenever you visit Courts Online. For example, like many websites, we use "cookies" and we obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses Courts Online or advertisements and other content served on Courts Online, if applicable.
1.3 Personal information provided from your devices. If you download or use Courts Online on a mobile device (this could be for example by using the Courts Online app) and if have requested or consented to location services, we may receive information about your location and your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device. Most mobile devices allow you to turn off location services. Please refer to the user manual (or other information provided by manufacturer or software provider) for more information about how to do this.
1.4 Personal information you provide to us via e-mail. We often receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from Courts if your e-mail provider supports such capabilities. You may also provide us with personal information in the content of e-mails you send to us, as part of your day-to-day interactions with Courts.
1.5 Personal information from other sources. From time to time we may receive information about you from other sources, for example from other users of Courts Online including from third party Sellers.



What does Courts do with YOUR personal information?

We may use the the personal information about you that we collect for the following purposes:

1.6 to handle orders (or to enable third party Sellers or providers of services to Courts to do so);
1.7 to deliver products and services (or to enable third party Sellers or providers of services to Courts to do so);
1.8 to communicate with you about orders, products, services (or to enable third party Sellers to do so);
1.9 to respond to your requests (or to enable third party Sellers to do so);
1.10 to process payments;
1.11 to communicate with you about promotional offers and to market to you;
1.12 to update our records and generally maintain your accounts with us;
1.13 to display content such as wish lists and customer reviews and recommend merchandise and services that might be of interest to you;
1.14 to personalise and improve our services, and general offering to you, including Courts Online; and
1.15 to prevent or detect fraud or abuses of Courts Online and to enable third parties to carry out technical, logistical or other functions on our behalf.



What About Cookies?

We send a "cookie" to your web browser. A "cookie" is a small data text file stored in the hard drive of your computer (if it so permits), which can be retrieved to identify you to Courts. We do this to: enable our systems to recognise your device and to provide features to you; remember the information that you have previously entered, enabling us to customise Courts Online to your preferences; and improve navigation and to collect aggregate information. These cookies will not give us any other personal information about you.

Your Internet Service Provider allocates an IP address to your computer or device in order for it to access the Internet. The IP address is considered to be non-personal information and it may be dynamic (changing every time you connect to the Internet) or it may be static (unique to your computer). We collect your IP address. We do this to: diagnose server problems; and report aggregate information and determine the fastest route from your computer to Courts Online.

DOES COURTS SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH OTHER PEOPLE?

Courts does not sell or lease your personal information to third parties.

We only use your information for the purposes set out in Section 4 of this Privacy Policy.

We may share your information with the following third parties, where necessary and always in compliance with this Privacy Policy and with applicable laws.

1.16 Third party Sellers. In order for the third party Sellers to provide their services to you when you purchase products or enquire about purchasing products from the third party Sellers.
1.17 Third party service providers. Courts may need to share your information with certain third parties to perform services on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analysing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments and providing customer service.
1.18 Current or future Courts entities or subsidiaries. This includes without limitation our business partners and financial institutions, from time to time. These other parts of the courts business may be involved in providing certain services to you or supporting the provision of these services.
1.19 Law enforcement agencies. We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our rights; or protect the rights, property or safety of Courts, our users or others including you.

We may transfer personal information to countries outside of Singapore, but we will only do so in compliance with this Privacy Policy and with applicable laws.

THIRD PARTY SELLERS

Unless otherwise authorised or consented to by Courts, THIRD PARTY SELLERS MUST NOT not use any PERSONAL information that is accessible from Courts Online, except to enter into and complete transactions conducted via Courts Online. THIRD PARTY SELLERS MUST NOT use any such information for purposes of solicitation, advertising, unsolicited e-mail or spamming, harassment, invasion of privacy or otherwise objectionable conduct.

How Secure is MY PERSONAL Information?

We shall take reasonable measures to ensure the confidentiality and security of the personal information shared with these third parties and to protect it from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when you finish using a shared computer.

What About Third-Party Advertisers and Links to Other Websites?

Courts Online may include third party advertising and links to other websites. Courts is not responsible for third party websites and you should find out from the other websites about their privacy policies.

What Information Can I Access?

You can access a broad range of your personal information by logging into your user account.

UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION

You must make sure that the details you provide us with are correct and complete. You must inform us of any changes to the information you have provided. You can do this by logging into your user account.

MARKETING

You may choose to stop receiving or change the frequency of email, direct mail, phone and mobile marketing communications. If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please adjust your user account preferences or use the unsubscribe function on marketing materials.

What do I do if I want to exchange or get a full refund for an item I bought at your stores?

If you're not happy with the product you purchase, regardless whether you bought it online or at our physical stores, just bring it back to any of our store within 30 days for an exchange or refund. Do kindly bring back the sealed item along with the original receipt, warranty card, free gifts, vouchers, accessories associated with the purchase in its original condition (sealed box). In the event of any sale order cancellation, the price difference that was refunded has to be returned to Courts.

What if I have opened the box or unsealed the item?

We will still exchange or make a full refund within 14 days of the purchase with the original receipt, warranty card, free gifts, vouchers, accessories associated with the purchase in its good condition.

When returning software, ink cartridges, batteries, mobile phones, game consoles must be in sealed and original condition to be eligible for a refund or exchange.

How will my money be refunded to me?

The refund will be given in the same mode of payment that was used in the original purchase. If delivery has taken place, then the refund will exclude delivery charges paid. For payment made with credit card, bank may take 4 to 6 weeks to process the refund.

What if the product is found damaged upon opening the brand new box?

We will replace the product for you if we find such cases we define as "Dead on Arrival or in short DOA" within 14 days of the purchase date. After 14 days, we will repair the item for you.

What are the exclusions?

  • Display set items sold as seen.
  • Apple branded products like ipad/iphone. (Apple computer is eligible for refund/exchange)
  • Made-to order and personalized orders made especially for you are not exchangeable / refundable. (items where a customer has requested specific attributes (e.g. finish, color, size) or where we build upon your order)
  • Assembled bedroom furniture and air-conditioners. (once installed)
  • Home appliances (once used), mattresses, personal care products, beauty & body products, apparels & accessories, earrings, health & fitness products, headsets and earphones due to hygiene reasons.
  • For headsets and earphones, you will need to send the product back to the manufacturer authorized office for exchange.
  • For items bought under our Courts Flexi Plans, kindly refer to Courts Flexi Plans policy for details.

How does the lemon law protect me in the event of defective goods?

  • In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act, Courts reserves the right to prove (or, if the breach appears more than 6 months after delivery, require you to disprove) that the product was of satisfactory quality and otherwise complied with the terms of purchase at the time of delivery.
  • If the repair or replacement is not reasonably possible or cannot be done within a reasonable period of time and without significant inconvenience to you, you may keep the defective Good and ask for a partial refund, or return the defective Good and ask for a full refund. Please note that the amount of the full refund will take into account the Good’s current state resulting from your use.
  • If a higher value exchange is required under Courts Flexi Plans purchase, then a new instalment plan agreement must be sanctioned.

Products Reservation for 14-Day

If you found something that you like to buy but can’t make up your mind yet. Fret not as you can now reserve it for 14-day.

How do I reserve an item?

If the stocks are available in the store, simply place a 5% fully refundable deposit (on the current selling price) to reserve the products and we will put it aside for you for 14 days. This deposit is fully refundable. In the event, you decided that you do not want to buy the item, you will just need to go back to the same store you placed the deposit to get a full refund. Refund mode will be the same as your mode of payment. Product reservation excludes display set item.

For purchase of split air-conditioner unit:

  • A $150 fully refundable deposit is required.
  • Minimum 3 working days of advance notice is required for any postponement or cancellation of air-con installation. Otherwise, an administrative fee of $150 will be chargeable.

What are the exclusions?

  • For made-to-order items, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required and items are also not exchangeable. We will repair and replaced if the made-to-order items is damaged upon our verification.
  • Newly launch products within 90 days of first launch date in Singapore.
  • Advertised limited set items or hourly special deals.
  • Reservation of product is not possible online currently.

Same Day Delivery as quick as 3-Hour

We understand that at times, you will need a bulky item delivered to you quickly. Now you can enjoy your purchase item within the same day when you need it on the same day.

How does the 3-Hour works?

If you buy an available stock item before 1pm, we will deliver between 2 to 4pm. Or if you buy before 4pm, you will get the item between 5 to 7pm; correspondingly, if you buy before 7pm, the item will reach you between 8 to 11pm.

What is the latest time I need to buy to enjoy same day delivery?

7pm is the latest cut off time, any time after that, we will try our best to send at the earliest available time the next day.

How much does it cost?

$50 (including GST)

Can I cancel or make changes to same day delivery?

In order to get your order to you speedily, it will be hard to cancel this after we send our truck out. Hence we are not able to call back the truck. If you really need to change or cancel the truck, another delivery arrangement with another delivery fee will have to be chargeable.

What are the exclusions?

  • Items not stocked in our warehouse.
  • Direct delivery from our suppliers/partners.
  • Courts Flexi Plans purchase.
  • Installation services and air-conditioning requiring installation.
  • Made-to-order products.
  • Online purchase is not available for same day delivery currently, please approach our physical stores for this service.

How do I show "proof" of price?


The best way to show proof of price is to bring in a picture of competitor's price tag, competitor's advertisement, catalogue etc. to facilitate the price match. Courts will then review and verify the price match request, in some situation; we will call up the competitors to confirm the price.

How long do I have to wait to get a refund?


If you visit any of our physical stores, we will process the claim and give you the refund during the same visit (with the necessary "proof" as above). If you email us or call our hotline, we may need more time to verify the claim before we get back to you, typically around 3 working days.

What if the competitor does not have the item in stock or has limited quantities of the product?


Sometimes a listed competitor will advertise a product with very limited quantities for a special price or the item may even be out of stock, in these scenarios, the item will not be eligible for price matching or refund the price difference.

Does Courts price match "free gift with purchase" offers?


No. Courts does not price match "free gift with purchase" offers as they are not exactly "like for like".

Does Courts price match offers with financing?


No. Courts also does not price match to a competitors' price that can only be received when using the competitor's credit card or any other financing offers.

Does Courts match competitors' trade-in value and offers on trade-in products?


No. Courts does not match our competitors' trade-in value and offers on trade-in products.

How will the difference in price be refunded to me?


The difference will be paid in the form of Courts Gift Card which can be used on every item sold in Courts without any restriction. Do note that the Gift Card normally comes with one year validity. In the event of any sale order cancellation, the price difference that was refunded has to be returned to Courts.

What are the exclusions?

  •      The online or in-store prices of retailers not listed above.
  •      Mobile phones with contract.
  •      Products sold by marketplace sellers.
  •      Any financing offers, bundle offers, free gifts, pricing errors, coupon offers, items that are advertised as limited quantity, trade-in offers, out of stock items, refurbished / used items, special hour sale event items, credit card offers and rent / lease programs.
  •      Each item is only entitled to price match or refund the price difference once.
  •      Refund the price difference is for items that have been fully paid, for item that has not been fully paid; we will do at least a price match.


THE SELLER PRICE PROMISE

The following price promise applies if you buy Products from Sellers on Courts Online.

It's simple. Sellers will not sell their Products at a lower price anywhere else.

Sellers guarantee their lowest prices on Courts Online or else you may be entitled up to a "30-day triple (3x) the price difference" if you find the Seller is selling the Product at a lower price anywhere else.

Sellers will ensure that their prices are the lowest or at least the same as the prices they offer anywhere else online.

If you have purchased Products from a Seller on Courts Online and you find a lower price for the Products from the same Seller, using the same name, anywhere else online in the following 30 days, the relevant Seller shall refund the Buyer up to triple (3x) the price difference. Each Seller has agreed adhere to these terms and the imposition of a price promise as a condition to being a Seller on Courts Online.


Why do Sellers make this promise?

So that all the Buyers on Courts Online can buy from Sellers knowing that the price they bought on Courts Online will always be the lowest they can find from the Seller, using the same name, online for up to the next 30 days.

What if after buying the item, I found a lower price from the Seller somewhere else?

In some rare instances where you find a lower price from the Seller somewhere else after you have purchased the item from the Seller on Courts Online, you will be compensated up to triple (3x) the price difference.

How do I request a price match or refund price difference from a Seller?

You should contact Courts and/or Seller 10-30 days (depending on the type of product) from date of purchase. You must show the lower price that the Seller, using the same name, is offering elsewhere online that is still in effect that you want to be price matched.

How do I show "proof" of price?


The best way to show proof of price is to bring in a picture of competitor's price tag, competitor's advertisement, catalogue etc. to facilitate the price match. Courts will then review and verify the price match request, in some situation; we will call up the competitors to confirm the price.

How long do I have to wait to get a refund?


If you visit any of our physical stores, we will process the claim and give you the refund during the same visit (with the necessary "proof" as above). If you email us or call our hotline, we may need more time to verify the claim before we get back to you, typically around 3 working days.

What if the competitor does not have the item in stock or has limited quantities of the product?


Sometimes a listed competitor will advertise a product with very limited quantities for a special price or the item may even be out of stock, in these scenarios, the item will not be eligible for price matching or refund the price difference.

Does Courts price match "free gift with purchase" offers?


No. Courts does not price match "free gift with purchase" offers as they are not exactly "like for like".

Does Courts price match offers with financing?


No. Courts also does not price match to a competitors' price that can only be received when using the competitor's credit card or any other financing offers.

Does Courts match competitors' trade-in value and offers on trade-in products?


No. Courts does not match our competitors' trade-in value and offers on trade-in products.

How will the difference in price be refunded to me?


The difference will be paid in the form of Courts Gift Card which can be used on every item sold in Courts without any restriction. Do note that the Gift Card normally comes with one year validity.

What are the exclusions?

  • The online or in-store prices of retailers not listed above.
  • Mobile phones with contract.
  • Products sold by marketplace sellers.
  • Any financing offers, bundle offers, free gifts, pricing errors, coupon offers, items that are advertised as limited quantity, trade-in offers, out of stock items, refurbished / used items, special hour sale event items, credit card offers and rent / lease programs.
  • Each item is only entitled to price match or refund the price difference once.
  • Refund the price difference is for items that have been fully paid, for item that has not been fully paid; we will do at least a price match.

Any customers who walk into the store with their NRIC presented will be given 100% Approval to spend $500 on any products on Courts Flexi Plans in 15 minutes. No supporting documents needed. Payment term can range from 6 month to 36 months.

What are the criteria?

You must be above 21 years old & not older than 64 years old to be eligible. Also, you must be a Singaporean or a PR and not be a bankrupt or has pending lawsuits.You must also not be in arrears on existing Courts’ accounts (on-going Collection Agency actions / legal actions by Courts / have written off accounts) and must not have any rejected Courts Flexi Plans application in the last 3 months.

Exchange / Return Policy

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act, Courts reserves the right to prove (or, if the breach appears more than 6 months after delivery, require you to disprove) that the product was of satisfactory quality and otherwise complied with the terms of purchase at the time of delivery.

  • Bring the product back, with the guarantee card and your valid purchase receipt from Courts.
  • On returning the Goods, please note that free gifts, vouchers, accessories associated with the purchase must also be returned at the same time.
  • If the repair or replacement is not reasonably possible or cannot be done within a reasonable period of time and without significant inconvenience to you, you may keep the defective Good and ask for a partial refund, or return the defective Good and ask for a full refund. Please note that the amount of the full refund will take into account the Good's current state resulting from your use.
  • For Headsets and Earphones, you will need to send the products back to the manufacturer authorised office.
  • If delivery has taken place, then the refund will exclude delivery charges paid.

In the event of a refund, the Price paid with respect to the relevant Goods shall automatically be refunded to the credit card with which the purchase was made. If delivery has taken place, refunds will exclude the delivery charges paid.

Please note the normal processing time for refund requests is 4 - 6 weeks from date of request.
